One Plant, One Bird: is a new series I just started. My goal is to be able to identify the birds in my garden by their song. There are also lots of wildflowers I can never remember. By making a short video of just one of each I thought I might be able to start to remember the things around me when I am in the garden. I’ll be posting on YouTube. Let me know what you think.
This is a great idea. Love hearing the veery. I miss them here in Houston.

I saw one of these today drinking from a soaker hose. I thought it a Carolina wren but the color was wrong. This is a great idea, we usually hear the song before we spot the bird, and learn the names of the wildflowers.
That’s so nice you saw it. I rarely catch a glimpse.
Love the idea Don. I am so ignorant about birds and realize that getting interested is another sign of age for some or us 🙂 I am there!
Me too. Thanks Mel. It was so nice seeing you in the garden the other day and it was you who got fleabane identified correctly!
